Open Day

Wednesday 16th April 2008

at the Evergreen Hall, Angel Street, Bridgend

The Lions Club of Bridgend organised an Open Day as an opportunity to tell the general public more about us; to meet people and for them to meet us, in an informal setting where we could put faces to names, to network and exchange ideas. There is much that we can do together to improve the quality of life for many.

Representatives of a number of Charitable organisations attended and in addition to the Lions Club, display stands were put on by Every Link Counts, MacMillan, Samaritans, Yellow, Homestart and CAB.

Among the distinguished visitors were Bridgend MP Madeline Moon, the Mayor of Bridgend County Borough Cllr Mari Jones and Chairman of the NHS Trust Win Griffiths.

The Club would like to thank everyone that came along. We learnt a great deal about other organisations in the area and we hope they learnt something about us.

We would also like to thank the staff of the Evergreen Hall.for their help and in particular for the ever flowing cups of tea and coffee.
