The Bob Cook Memorial Games

The late Lion Bob Cook was a member of Keynsham Lions Club and Charter President of Chippenham Lions Club in 1974. He was District Treasurer from 1980 to 1988.

The games are held every August at the County Ground Athletics Track, Swindon and the event is marshalled by AAA Officials to ensure fairness and accuracy. There are events for all categories of disability and the objective is for participating individuals and groups to have a fun day out.

Bridgend Lions are proud to have sponsored entrants from Penybont Gateway Club and Every Link Counts, providing travel arrangements and commemorative T shirts. Exhausted but happy participants are rewarded with medals for their achievements which they proudly carry back home to the borough.
