Festival of Races
This brand new event was held on 19th June 2010 and brought together Bridgend Lions, Bridgend Athletic Club, Welsh Athletics and Bridgend Festivals to provide an afternoon of quality road racing in Bridgend Town Centre. Swimmafun
Our annual Swimmafun was held at Ynysawdre Swimming Pool on Sunday 25th April 2010. Numerous local schools and charitable groups participated to raise funds for their own purposes. If you would like to participate in future Swimmafuns please use our contact page.
Visit to Vimoutiers
In June 2010 members of the club and their partners visited out twin club in Vimoutiers. During a visit to the Normandy beaches a Lions poppy wreath was laid in memory of those who took part in the Normandy landings. For a full report see our Vimoutiers twinning page.

Forthcoming Events
The redevelopment of the YMCA has been postponed so we are delighted to be able to confirm that we will be holding a Book Clearance Sale for one day only on the 16th October 2010.
We will also be able to continue with our annual Book Fair at the YMCA which will be held from the 4th - 6th March 2011.
The Bridgend Lions Charity Book Fair is now in its seventeenth year and is easily the largest event of its kind in Wales with well in excess of 25,000 books on display.
