Our annual Book Fair was held from 7th to 9th April 2017 at Westward Community Centre, Cefn Glas, Bridgend. Click on the link for directions.
There were thousands of good quality books including fiction, non-fiction and children's, all at unbelievable prices.
We helped Santa in his Grotto at Carnegie House (the old library) Wyndham Street, Bridgend on Saturdays 26th November and 3rd, 10th and 17th December 2016.
A visit to see Santa cost £5.00 for which children received a quality gift and their family are able to take their own photographs. We also introduced on-line bookings which incurred a 50p booking fee but was well used.
The grotto also included free crafts and colouring for children while they wait and craft stalls and tombolas were also available.
Tree of Light
During December we held a Tree of Light outside St Mary's Church where you could sponsor a light for £5 in memory of a loved one or a special cause at Christmas.
There was a short dedication of the tree in the foyer of St Mary's Church on Monday the 28th November at 6pm including carols sung by St Mary's school choir.
On the 22nd October we held a one day book sale at the Westward Community Centre from 10am to 4pm. All books were sold at half of the price they were on sale at our Book Fair last April to make way for new stock.
