Swimmafun
Our 2009 Swimmafun took place on April 26th. It was another success and initial returns suggest over £5,000 has been raised for community and charitable causes.
Easter Egg Raffle
Our Easter Egg fundraiser took place in a number of local pubs and clubs during the weeks leading up to easter. Thank you to everyone who purchased a square and to the establishments that hosted our easter Egg raffles.
Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair took place from 6th - 8th March 2009 and raised over £10,000 for good causes. Thank you to the Bridgend YMCA, Bridgend ATC and St John Ambulance who all assisted at the event. A special thank you to the people of the Bridgend area who again donated a fantastic selection of books to make this event so successful, and of course to the customers who turned up from Bridgend and further afield to purchase the books.

New President
On 1st July Godfrey Morris (right) took over as President of the club for 2009-10 from Simon Dawkes
New Members
We were pleased to induct a new member at our January 2009 Business Meeting - Andy Greenway - who is the third generation of his family to have joined the Lions Club of Bridgend.
We were pleased to induct 2 new members at our October 2008 Business meeting - Ron Williams and Terry Harris.
